Sedona, AZ

On Friday, while Anthony had classes, we had time to kill so we decided to take a two-hour drive up to Sedona to see the beautiful red rock mountains. I’m so glad that we did!

It was really a spectacular sight.

While in Sedona, we went to see the Chapel of the Holy Cross, embedded right into the rocks.

The inside had mountain views through the large windows behind the altar… What a cool place to worship!

We also had great views from the area surrounding the Chapel, including this gem:

For a mere $2.55 million, it could be ours!

While on our way to Sedona, we saw a sign for a national monument so we stopped.

There was nothing really there to see though so we didn’t stay long. I later read that this is a protected desert site with ancient Indian ruins scattered throughout. It would have been fun to explore if we had more time.

It was a great road trip to pass the time while waiting for Anthony.
